NOVA is a 7-month-old female Great Dane. She came into the program when not one, but two families underestimated the size of a growing Great Dane puppy. We usually reserve the Paws Behind Bars prison training program for dogs a little bit older, but the best place to settle Nova down and get her going in a good direction was to have the full attention of an inmate dog handler. We think most of Nova's issues were driven by fear and, now that she's built trust and confidence in her inmate, she's starting to romp and play. Nova will turn out to be a great dog, and we might add elegant! She's certainly the one in the program right now that LOVES THE CAMERA! If you're interested in adopting NOVA, our process begins with our online
application, or
email us if you submitted an application within the last six months.
