PALMER is a young, male Pointer who came into the shelter in pretty bad shape. He had clearly been on his own long enough to become extremely thin. But good food and an inmate handler in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program, and PALMER was restored to full health! He's a sporting dog and has the energy to prove it. His inmate did a nice job harnessing Palmer's energy with obedience training. That said, Palmer needs an active home with a good fenced-in yard. Palmer is good with other dogs but plays hard so a younger, playful dog would be the better fit. The softer, gentler side of Palmer? When he's inside, he's the best snuggle buddy ever!
