Meet LUCA

LUCA is a 6-year-old male Yellow Labrador Retriever mix who weighs 65 lbs. What is his mix? Could be Lab? could be Golden? We don't know for sure, but the Retriever piece? He's that and more! He loves to tote things around. Sadly, Luca was returned to us recently when his family's circumstances changed. He is crate, leash and house-trained. He is happy, he is healthy, and we're glad to have him back.

Luca's next home? He should go to active adults. Luca loves people, and, while his previous family loved him and took great care of him, someone with more time to spend would be best. He would greatly enjoy a fenced in yard so he can fetch to his hearts' delight. He's very social and eager to please. We were told he is tolerant of other dogs, but he doesn't need them. We'll do more testing on our own, and, perhaps with the right other dog, and proper introductions, he'd be fine. Way back when, he even went through our prison dog training program and his sit, down, stay command knowledge is still there!
