Meet STINNETT - Paws Behind Bars Prison Dog Trained

STINNETT is a one-year-old male Coonhound mix. Sometimes things happen for a reason, and, for this pup, we are glad. He came into our program as a puppy and, for some reason, was never chosen. We put him into foster care and still, he never garnered any interest. BTW - he was an easy dog for his foster to have around, and he grew up with children, so he can check that box.

At about 10 months, we noticed a hitch in his back end and took him to the vet. He was diagnosed with bad hips. At his young age, surgery was not recommended but rather good exercise to strengthen the ligaments and muscle surrounding his hips. What better place to do that? Our prison dog training program, Paws Behind Bars.

Stinnett has muscled up quite nicely and shows no signs of any mobility issues. By the way - he is still an incredibly easy, gentle dog to be around, and he loves his belly rubs. Eventually surgery will be required, but, for now, he's in great shape. We are hoping that perfect family is out there willing to maintain his quality of life, even if surgery is a possibility in the future!
