Meet NUTMEG - Paws Behind Bars Prison Dog Trained

NUTMEG is a one-year-old female mixed breed (with German Shepherd in there somewhere?) who weighs 60 lbs. She was taken in off the streets and not claimed. Her temperament is excellent, but her energy level is a bit on tilt, so we enrolled her in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program where she is rising to the top of her class! All these young dogs have energy, it just goes without saying, but Nutmeg has quickly learned to redirect it into fun and games with her inmate. She masters her commands quickly and is always eager for more.

She is going to make an excellent family companion! A fenced yard and older children would be in order, another dog in the family a plus!

If you’re interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of our online application, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months.  We review and schedule meet and greets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.
