Meet SAINT - Paws Behind Bars prison dog trained

SAINT is a 9-month-old male Cattle Dog mix. He currently weighs 45 lbs and is getting close to his mature weight. He went out as a puppy but wasn't the proper fit. Cattle dogs need a job and obedience training is always a good idea.

He is turning out to be the perfect student in our Paws Behind Bars program. He's bunking up with his inmate and another dog, Reesie (also available for adoption). His day is filled with structure, fun, dogs, and people. True to his breed, he is very quick to learn and loyal to his person. He needs an active family, and, with his herding breed instincts, would be better suited to older children and a fenced in yard. He loves dogs, too, so a young canine companion would also make a perfect fit.

If you’re interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of our online application, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months.  We review and schedule meet and greets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.
