Meet BYZEE
BYZEE is a 14-week-old female Akbash puppy. We received a litter of 5 from an accidental litter on a local farm. This is not a breed you see often, but we were intrigued and continue to be amazed at their temperaments. The Akbash is a guard/herding dog of Turkish origins. They grow to be over 100+ lbs with a lovely gentle-giant demeanor. And while it would easy to compare them to a Great Pyrenees, they are different. Socialization at this age is very important, so we have them all in great foster homes.
We recommend you research the breed prior to considering adoption. Requirements for adoption include the following: local adoption preferred as we need to wait to have her spayed (due to her size), and she'll need to return to us; fenced yard; ability to handle a 100+ pound dog; no young children in household; and, ability to spend time training.
If interested in adopting (we have 3 males and 1 female left - they all look identical), our process begins with the submission of our online application, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months. We review and schedule meet and greets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.
Please see our FAQ page for the answers to any other questions you might have regarding the adoption process.
