Meet CLUTCH - Paws Behind Bars Prison Dog Trained
CLUTCH is a one-and-a-half-year-old male Labradoodle. He came to us as a family surrender in a rural area where all they could do for him was keep him as an outside dog. They realized that wasn't the right thing for the dog and sought out a better life. We are thrilled to have Clutch in our program. He's very outgoing, and he loves other dogs and people. He's big (70 lbs), he's young (still a puppy sometimes), so he made the perfect student for our prison dog training program. In just two weeks, he's made wonderful progress and has all his basic commands down pat!
Doodles come into our program for many reasons, usually because of high energy; Clutch seems to be nicely balanced and smart. For a dog kept outside, he's also making good progress with his social skills. No doubt the prison is full of people and loud noises. Sometimes he'll hesitate and take time to think, but he's quick to recover. His appearance? He's one of a kind. All the Poodle ended up in the coat on his back, his tail has a unique curly cue, and those ears! We're sure his coat will shed, but that shouldn't matter as he's a great dog who will make a great family companion!
