Meet DAWSON - Paws Behind Bars Trained

DAWSON is a 2-year-old male Labrador Retriever mix who weighs 82 lbs. He is currently in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program and doing very well. Before coming to us, Dawson was bumped around a bit. He was adopted from a shelter a year ago, and then surrendered to us. His inmate is working on composure and obedience, and Dawson is finally getting the commitment he needs. He's very smart, and, once he knows the rules, he'll work to please. With the right dog, Dawson enjoys canine companionship. He loves people, although, due to his large size, children would have to be older.

Dawson will need a physical fence as he takes his property boundaries seriously. For the right person(s), he'll be a wonderful, loyal companion who certainly deserves a family that will commit to him.
