Meet DOZER - Paws Behind Bars Prison Trained
DOZER is a 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer mixed breed male. He is a big dog, weighing in at 85 lbs, and has the legs of a race horse! He was picked up as a stray by a local shelter and makes for the perfect participant in our prison dog training program. He's big, and he's strong, and he didn't know any obedience.
He is making great strides with his inmate, learning to manage that energy and strength. We can also get good insight on his social skills while in the prison, and we're guessing DOZER will best be paired with a female, if there's another dog in the home. He'll need a fenced in yard with plenty of room as he covers a lot of distance with when he gets going. DOZER loves people! Due to his size, he'll be appropriate for older children.
If you’re interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of our online application, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months. We review and schedule meet and greets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.
