Meet ELLIE - Paws Behind Bars Trained

ELLIE is a two-year-old female, full-blooded Rottweiler who was surrendered to the rescue when her family couldn't give her the time she needed. She is currently participating in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program to work on her obedience. At 87 lbs, it's so much better to have your pet obey a command than to otherwise compose all that "size." Ellie has a wonderful temperament and grew up with other dogs and children.

If you’re interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of our online application, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months.  We review and schedule meet and greets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.
