Meet GUS - Paws Behind Bars Trained

GUS is a 1-year-old male Golden/Lab mix who came to us from an adopter who rescued him and his brother as strays. His brother had suffered a gun shot wound and was treated, but there was no way to keep one in safe haven without the other. Both of the boys proved to thoroughly enjoy home life with the kids and their other dog, but the time came to get them prepped for adoption. GUS recently entered our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program just to put a little obedience on him and to better socialize him. He's going to make a great family dog!  Gus will do best in a home where family members are home more often, there's another older dog, and with older children, if any.

If interested in meeting/adopting Gus, our process begins with the submission of our online application, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months.  We review and schedule meet and greets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received.
